One of the strengths of American University’s Measurement and Evaluation Program is its faculty. The Measurement and Evaluation faculty is a group of academic practitioners that understand traditional approaches to evaluation, but are also at the forefront of testing new and emerging trends. Our faculty of evaluation experts has been working for years domestically and in countries across the globe, in functional fields as diverse as community development, education, public health, governance, and business development, amongst others.
When a program student takes a class in Evaluation, they have the opportunity to learn from faculty that are at the forefront of their discipline. The faculty brings their diverse set of experiences into the online classroom, helping students to understand how evaluation principles are applied in practice. In this way, students learn, and are able to build from, the experiences of faculty.
In this series, Faculty Spotlight, faculty discuss their perspectives and experiences in Measurement and Evaluation. They also give updates on their evaluation work. Current and prospective students can learn a little more about their faculty, their perspectives, and their unique set of experiences from Faculty Spotlight.
