Chardon Murray

Ms. Murray is a criminologist specializing in terrorism and violent extremism in the U.S., ~16 years experience. She has experience in academia, as well as working as a legislative assistant in state government. She teaches full-time in sociology dept. at CFCC, and also teach graduate-level courses in terrorism studies at UNCW in their Conflict Management and Resolution program, and in the MS Counter-terrorism and Homeland Security program at American University. Ms. Murray is the founder of an interdisciplinary terrorism and mass shooting research group, bringing together people of various disciplines in order to crowd-source data (utilizing the internet, the dark web, apps like Telegram, and other sources), network, and assist one another in dealing with the unique stresses of studying such an emotionally-taxing subject matter.
