Blake Cook is a career public servant and federal law enforcement officer, having worked in national security positions at the Department of Defense, the State Department, and Department of Homeland Security. Over the course of his long career in government, he has served as a lead investigator on the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force focusing on al-Qa'ida and Islamic State issues. He has also served as a liaison officer to special mission units within U.S. Special Operations Command and worked jointly with elements of the Intelligence Community.

He holds an M.A. in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College and an M.S. in Criminal Justice from St. Joseph's University.
