JUSTIN SMITH: Flexibility-- it allowed me to be flexible with my schedule. That helped me focus my time in both my professional and personal life, and be able to complete the program. So that flexibility was the most important part of it.

MEREDITH MOORE: Diversity-- if it's gender, if it's race, if it's ideology-- people know to come here. It's a safe place to discuss and grow your ideas, and make a difference in the world.

CHRISTINA THOMAS: This felt more like a family, because we all were coming from all across the United States. And we kept each other motivated, and kept each other going through the program.

PAULA WEISSMAN: Passionate-- we have a lot of students here who tend to be very social cause-oriented. They're very active. They do a lot of internships here, and they engage a lot. So it's very exciting to teach them.

VICKY WILKINS: I find that most of our students who come here have some sort of passion that is driving them.

CECILE CARDILLO: Impactful.

KATIE KRESPAN: The professors are all absolutely incredible. It was really important to me to find people who didn't only have the academic skills, but also had some practical skills and experience.

CECILE CARDILLO: You want to be impactful. You want to be impactful now. So it's speed, it's efficiency, it's effectivity, and I think that's what I got from American University.

PETER MAYES: Two words to describe my experience with American University-- absolutely awesome.
