Assistant Professor and Academic Director

Dr. Nimer has conducted field research on Middle Eastern and South Asian politics and development. He has worked with hard-to-reach communities ranging from rural areas in Egypt to Arab and Indo-Pakistani communities in the United States and Canada.

Dr. Nimer has taught Cross Cultural Communication, Religion, and Politics Worldwide and Conflict Resolution in the Middle East and beyond. He also teaches distance education courses, including Quantitative Methods in Monitoring and Evaluation at the graduate level.

Dr. Nimer holds a PhD in Political Science (with an economics subfield) from the University of Utah, 1995.
