Dr. Anastasia Snelling and Dr. Kathleen Holt Give Expert Nutrition Advice in WalletHub’s ‘2017 Best Cities for Vegans and Vegetarians’ Article

Professor and Chair of AU's Department of Health Sciences, Dr. Anastasia Snelling, and AU Assistant Professor of Health Sciences, Dr. Kathleen Holt, were recently featured in WalletHub’s 2017 Best Cities for Vegans and Vegetarians article. They provided expert advice for those transitioning to vegans and vegetarians, as well as advice on budgeting and government subsidization.

Beth Rabinovich

Beth Rabinovich is a project director at Westat, a research firm in Rockville, MD. She has conducted program evaluations for federal agencies, non-governmental organizations, and private foundations. Her federal clients have included the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), The U.S. Department of State (DOS), and the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL). The topics of her program evaluations have ranged from issues involving older persons, victims of gender-based violence, and human trafficking. She has expertise in evaluation design, survey research, and qualitative methods. Many of her program evaluations involve designing performance measurement systems for ongoing monitoring of programs, as well as delivering technical assistance on monitoring and evaluation. Dr. Rabinovich has presented her work at annual conferences of the American Evaluation Association, The Gerontological Society of America, and the American Psychological Association. In addition to her evaluation work, Dr. Rabinovich has taught as an adjunct at the University of Maryland, University College and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. She holds a doctorate in Human Development from the University of Maryland.
